About The Position

This full-time Travel Medical Assistant position supports all local Pulse Heart Institute offices and outreach clinic locations. The Medical Assistant in this role must be comfortable functioning independently in a clinical setting. This role is ideal for an MA who enjoys variety, autonomy, and serving rural communities while remaining part of a strong clinical team. The Medical Assistant in our outpatient cardiology clinics plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certification upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient flow and room patients for exams
  • Record medical histories, vitals, and lab results in the electronic medical record
  • Assist providers with exams and procedures, including injections and specimen collection
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms and instruments between patients
  • Gather and review medical records and documentation
  • Manage and restock medical supplies
  • Answer patient questions and provide support during visits
  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times
