About The Position
The Patient Care Specialist 2 (PCS2) supports excellent patient care and operational efficiency at AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). This cross-functional role transitions among clinical, administrative, and front-office duties to help ensure seamless healthcare center operations and a positive patient experience. PCS2s support patient retention, foster patient trust and loyalty, and uphold AHF’s mission and core values. Working as part of a close-knit team in a collaborative organization, the PCS2 performs medical assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy, as well as administrative duties such as front-office work, processing patient referrals, and identifying and verifying insurance coverage. The role participates in cross-functional rotations and collaborates with AHF employees and departments to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
Requirements
- Completed Medical Assistant diploma program; Medical Assistant Diploma required.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy.
- Perform front-office and other administrative duties.
- Process patient referrals.
- Identify and verify insurance coverage.
- Participate in cross-functional rotations and transition among healthcare center functions.
- Collaborate with AHF employees and departments to support patient care and healthcare center operations.
- Promote a positive patient experience and patient retention while upholding AHF’s mission and core values.
