About The Position

Valley Stream Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Medical Assistant for their fast-paced practice in Valley Stream, New York. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on position and wants to make a difference for children and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in measuring heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature across all ages.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant.
• Pediatric experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially AthenaOne.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by taking vitals, updating records, and supporting providers to help them feel safe and supported.
• Prepare, sanitize, and restock exam rooms to ensure smooth patient visits.
• Maintain accurate documentation, patient history, and electronic medical records.
• Greet families, schedule appointments, answer questions, and handle phone inquiries with warmth.
• Assist during procedures and contribute to a positive office environment.
