About The Position
Medical Assistant (MA) Per Diem (PRN) in Indianapolis. This position is for an experienced Medical Assistant who is comfortable with blood draws and looking to pick up a couple of extra shifts a month during the week. Requirements
- 1-2 years of recent and related experience.
- Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team.
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly.
- Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in clinic settings.
- Perform blood draws for the clinic, must have 1-2 years of experience drawing blood.
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
- Record patient information and maintain health records.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment.
- Administer medications under the direction of the physician.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
