Medical Assistant
About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists clinic nurses and providers by preparing patients for office visits including visit preparation and patient intake. The Medical Assistant helps to maintain accurate and thorough Electronic Medical Records. In addition, the Medical Assistant ensures patient safety through maintaining vigilance with Infection Prevention procedures (i.e., cleaning, hand-washing, etc.). The Medical Assistant maintains an organized, professional work area and ensures patient confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant works as a member of a team of professionals to deliver safe, high quality healthcare services to our patients with a personal commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient or primary care setting preferred
