About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care position is a full-time role located in Vernon Hills, IL. The position involves greeting patients, documenting vital signs and medical information, providing front office support, and performing basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy and injections. The hourly pay rate ranges from $20.29 to $29.42, determined by factors like expertise and years of experience. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- One year of work experience required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
- previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
