About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Women's Health department in Franklin, WI. This full-time, day shift position involves assisting physicians and nurses with patient care, including examinations and treatments. The role also includes taking vital signs, preparing and stocking treatment rooms, and managing clerical tasks such as phone correspondence and record keeping.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
