About The Position

Salud is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team, providing welcoming care to patients. The role involves being the first point of contact for patients before they see a Doctor, NP, or PA, determining the nature of their visit, and obtaining vital signs. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for thorough and concise chart documentation for clear communication and maintaining a clean and organized environment for patients and staff. The clinic environment is described as lively, with a focus on treating patients with respect and concern for their well-being while fostering a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

Requirements

Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire.
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide welcoming care to patients.
Determine the nature of the patient’s visit.
Obtain vital signs.
Provide thorough and concise chart documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Benefits

$21 to $28.50 per hr.
Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
