Requirements

Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent preferred.
5 plus years of Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
Experience managing front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out.
Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
Maturity, empathy, and patience.
Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.

Nice To Haves

Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.

Responsibilities

Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
Assist in maintaining general medical records.
Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
