About The Position

With offices in Greenwich, Stamford, and Fairfield, our client proudly provides a wide range of treatments for their patients: Botox & Wrinkle Reducers, Facial Balancing, Facials & Peels, Laser, Body, and Beauty Treatments, Precision Anti-Aging, and Medical Treatments. The Medical Assistant will manage the back-office operations for the Practice and work directly with each patient and support their needs. The goal is to make each client of the practice feel comfortable, understood, and valued. You will bridge the gap between clinical excellence and administrative efficiency, providing top-tier support in both general dermatology and advanced cosmetic procedures. The role will be in the office 5 days a week, during normal business hours. On average, the Practice would see anywhere from 30-50 patients per day. There will be 3 other administrative assistants on the team, and 4 medical assistants supporting you. In this role you must be able to commute and accommodate other locations at times, company events, coverage (Greenwich, Stamford, Fairfield).

Requirements

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience – at least 1 year
  • Must be able to work weekdays (shifts ranging from 9am-7pm and rotating Saturday
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to travel between office locations (Greenwich, Stamford, and Fairfield) at times – company meetings, coverage etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and can easily multi-task, prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional attendance and strict punctuality
  • Must be able to commute to all locations at times (Company Meetings, Coverage)
  • Must be fully vaccinated and boosted (Covid-19)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery (highly preferred not required)
  • Bi-lingual fluency is a significant plus, not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations, take detailed medical histories, and explain treatment procedures and post-care instructions clearly.
  • Assist providers during medical exams and specialized cosmetic procedures, including Ultherapy, Lasers, and Coolsculpting.
  • Perform blood draws (phlebotomy), collect and prepare lab specimens, and conduct basic laboratory tests.
  • Prepare/Administer medications as directed; process prescription refills and instruct patients on medications or specialized diets.
  • Independently perform Coolsculpting treatments as directed by the physician.
  • Greet patients, answer multi-line phones, and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Update/Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), handle medical coding, and complete insurance forms.
  • Arrange hospital admissions and outside laboratory services; manage office correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping tasks.
