Medical Assistant Positions - FPG Silverstein Institute / Head & Neck Surgery - Hiring Bonus
About The Position
We are currently hiring Medical Assistants for our FPG Silverstein Institute and Head & Neck Surgery offices. These medical offices offer medical and surgical treatment for ear, nose, throat, head and neck conditions for both adult and pediatric patients. A $750 hiring bonus is available to certified Medical Assistants. The Clinical Care Coordinator I (Medical Assistant) works directly with patients and assists healthcare providers with day-to-day clinical care, such as preparing patients for exams and procedures, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vitals, and recording medical histories and current concerns. They will also document provider notes, procedures, and patient instructions. Please note that once you apply, you will be sent a clinical assessment that is required to complete online. You will receive an email with instructions (system is called Relias).
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- OR a certified EMT
- Experienced medical assistants with a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience, and with a certification from a certifying agency not noted above, or without certification, agrees to register with one of the currently accepted agencies for MA Certification and schedule a test date within 6 months from date of hire.
- Certification must be received and presented to HR within 12 months of date of hire.
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date (required for all clinical positions)
- Accepts BLS certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
