Medical Assistant - MA
About The Position
This position assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant will also assist with treatments ordered by a physician as supervised by a physician or registered nurse, and perform select clinical duties. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts. The role also involves preparing treatment rooms for examinations, performing basic clerical duties such as answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing, and performing basic materials management functions including ordering and stocking supplies. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
