Medical Assistant - Chantilly
About The Position
TPG Pediatrics is looking for a FULL TIME Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We are a large pediatric practice in Northern Virginia dedicated to excellent patient care. TPG prides itself on providing work-life balance and an opportunity for growth for all of it's employees. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Employee safety is a priority at TPG. We have daily cleaning procedures in place and provide PPE to include OSHA fit testing for all employees. The position is located at our Kingstowne/Franconia location.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- MA certification or equivalent
- 1 year experience preferred, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice
- Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
- Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, antibiotics, and performs treatments under the direction of the providers.
- Ensures established patient medical records are updated according to practice protocol including progress notes, immunization records, and other information are in place and computer templates are used.
- Greets patients and prepares them for the provider’s examination.
