This position is located at Langston Hughes as the primary location. The position may float to Main Campus G10 if needed. At Langston Hughes, this role may cover the Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Wellness, and Adult Psych (vitals only) service lines. A caregiver in this role should have pediatric experience and comfortable working with adults. A caregiver in this role will work 9:30am to 6:00pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program. (As designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee) OR Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
  • Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship)
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period)
  • Current demonstrated clinical proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Medical Assisting Certification
  • Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship
  • Basic Computer knowledge skills with typing skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
