About The Position
Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This role is located in Dallas - Hospital and operates Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification required
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient check-in, exams, and documentation in electronic medical record
- May participate in specimen collection
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and review medications list
- Document care provided per established guidelines
- Provide patient education resources as instructed
- Prepare and disinfect exam room for each patient’s visit
- Ensure adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available
- Inventory and order medical supplies
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained per department protocol
- Schedule tests and procedures (including radiology) utilizing the hospital and clinic computer systems; review results
