About The Position
This role is for a Medical Assistant at Prospect Medical Commons, specializing in Neurosurgery. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties. They will also interview patients to record medical history and measure vital signs, and prepare and sanitize treatment rooms, ensuring medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
