About The Position

Equipped with the latest technologies, Cleveland Clinic's Richard E. Jacobs Health Center brings world-class care close to home for the residents in and around Avon, Ohio. In addition to advanced specialty and primary care, this facility also includes an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, two pools for aquatic therapy and more. The Richard E. Jacobs Health Center’s Family Medicine team is uniquely trained to care for patients as a whole person, regardless of age or sex. The cornerstone of Family Medicine is an ongoing, personal relationship between caregivers and patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes. This is a part-time role. A caregiver in this position works between 7:00am and 8:00pm with an evening and Saturday rotation.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period)
  • Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assisting certification
  • Successful completion of CC Externship

Responsibilities

  • Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
