About The Position

This role is for a Medical Assistant in the Pulmonology department at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI. The schedule is days, 4 days a week from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with hours that can vary. The Medical Assistant will collaborate with physicians and registered nurses to deliver essential patient care and assist with various clinical procedures and treatments. They will prepare patients and exam rooms by conducting initial interviews, accurately measuring and documenting vital signs, and ensuring a streamlined, ready environment for the provider. The role also involves documenting patient care journeys, clinical data, and all necessary information in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will manage practice operations by organizing patient records, coordinating basic clerical and scheduling tasks, and ensuring clinical areas are consistently well-stocked and clean.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse experience desired.
