About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a contract opportunity in Marina del Rey, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and patient care skills, experience working in outpatient clinic settings, and proficiency with Epic EMR systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BLS Certification required (AHA or American Red Cross only)
- Proficiency with venipuncture
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Room patients and assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Perform venipuncture and collect patient specimens
- Record vital signs, patient history, and clinical information accurately
- Maintain patient flow and support daily clinic operations
- Document patient information using Epic EMR
- Assist with administrative and clinical duties as needed
- Float to other Internal Medicine and Family Medicine clinics when required
