About The Position

InnovaCare Management Services Company, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to coordinate clinic work activities and schedules across one or multiple locations, with potential travel between facilities. This role involves administering clinic and InnovaCare Health policies and procedures consistently, operating diagnostic equipment (without interpretation), performing various patient care tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for accurate and timely patient care documentation, respecting patient confidentiality, and supporting infection prevention protocols. This position plays a key role in anticipating provider needs and ensuring the smooth operation of clinic services.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to more than one facility.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to remove staples from superficial wounds.
  • Ability to change wound dressing and obtain cultures.
  • Ability to administer non-intravenous medication.
  • Ability to perform simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques.
  • Ability to collect blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary.
  • Ability to perform EKGs.
  • Ability to perform X-rays, where applicable.
  • Ability to assist with scribing, where applicable.
  • Ability to assist Case Manager with procedures.
  • Ability to perform quality control checks on equipment.
  • Ability to prepare and sterilize medical equipment using the autoclave.
  • Ability to foster accountability for clinical practice and patient goals.
  • Ability to record patient care documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify when others’ documentation is incorrect and alert clinic leadership.
  • Ability to coordinate patient care as directed by provider, and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to respect patient confidentiality always and ensure others do as well.
  • Ability to organize exam and treatment rooms, stock, clean rooms, and sterilize instruments.
  • Ability to anticipate provider’s needs prior to patient encounter.
  • Ability to assist when new supplies are needed.
  • Ability to enforce medication policy.
  • Ability to create and maintain an environment that supports infection prevention.
  • Ability to perform telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
  • Ability to ensure supplies are available, stock is inventoried, log data is accurate, and supplies are rotated.
  • Ability to support and follow Standard Delegation of Orders.
  • Ability to support emergency management protocols & procedures.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (confirmed via E-Verify).
