Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only. Our clinic is a small, community-focused primary care office serving patients from birth through end of life in a rural Hastings, Michigan setting. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. This role is highly clinical and offers a broad range of hands-on responsibilities. Team members can expect to room patients, perform point-of-care testing, administer immunizations for both pediatric and adult populations, assist with procedures, maintain clinic logs, and support overall clinical operations. Individuals in this position play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
