About The Position
The Medical Assistant works with the physician and other members of the primary or specialty care team by performing a variety of clinical and administrative patient-related duties, in the “Front Office” or “Back Office”. The medical assistant also works to fulfill a variety of patient needs and ensures smooth patient flow within the department, including gathering, organizing and documenting healthcare data information.
Requirements
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited
- 1 year Ambulatory Experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Certification Required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or CMA - Certified Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
- Completion and documentation of California requirements with demonstrated competency for venipuncture/phlebotomy (required for specific departments)
- Bilingual
