About The Position

Our busy Dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team! This role involves utilizing an Electronic Medical Record system, assisting physicians with administrative and clinical duties, interviewing patients to obtain medical history, recording patient information, cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment, assisting physicians during examinations, and maintaining a safe and efficient patient environment. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for answering telephone calls and checking in patients professionally and courteously.

Minimum: 1 to 5 years of work experience in a medical setting
Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Record EHR
High School Diploma is required

Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

Utilize Electronic Medical Record system
Assists physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties
Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.
Demonstrate a commitment to maintain work practices that comply with established office policy and procedures.
Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and peers.
Oversee and ensure that patients’ needs are met and that patients are served in an efficient and patient friendly manner
Respond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient exam
Answer incoming telephone calls, greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
