About The Position

As a Medical Assistant at Sage Health, you’ll partner closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care to our senior patients while supporting a high-quality patient experience. Responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining medical histories, recording vital signs, and accurately documenting information in the electronic health record (EHR). You will ensure patient charts, lab results, and supporting documentation are complete and available prior to appointments. You will also prepare exam rooms and assist physicians and onsite specialists during examinations and procedures, and support providers with virtual patient appointments conducted in patients’ homes. Maintaining patient confidentiality and securing medical records in compliance with HIPAA and Sage Health policies is crucial. You will clean, disinfect, and stock exam rooms while maintaining proper sterilization and infection prevention standards. Monitoring inventory, maintaining required logs and compliance checks, and assisting with supply ordering as needed are also part of the role. Responding to patient, pharmacy, physician, and internal team communications in a professional and timely manner, and coordinating with pharmacies, diagnostic facilities, and external providers to support patient care are key responsibilities. You will perform clinical duties including phlebotomy, injections, dressing changes, and suture removal. Participating in team huddles, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care coordination activities is expected. You will travel between Sage Health center locations based on operational needs and staffing support, and adapt to evolving workflows and support a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) required
  • CPR certification required
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
