About The Position

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in support of delivering expert aesthetic care to our patients. Day-to-day activities will vary from greeting and interacting with patients, collecting patient intake information, returning phone calls, responding to electronic patient correspondence, setting up rooms and preparing for aesthetic procedures while executing our goal to provide excellent and personal patient care. Overall, the Medical Assistant has a direct interaction with patients and is an integral component in helping deliver our mission of bringing state-of-the-art expertise and patient care to our clientele with a caring and compassionate attitude.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent thereof in a high-volume medical setting.
  • Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification -OR- Emergency Medical Technician certification -OR- experience equivalent.
  • Must possess good organizational skills to balance clerical and clinical duties.
  • Frequent talking and listening when giving instructions and explanations.
  • Frequent use of the phone, computer, and other clinic technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience a PLUS!

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the room and the client for aesthetic procedures and surgeries, including setting up equipment, taking pictures and providing documentation.
  • Performs numbing application.
  • Maintains medical terminology knowledge, especially as it pertains to aesthetics.
  • Professionally responds to patient messages, and patient phone call inquiries.
  • Professionally greets clients and ensures all necessary documents are properly filled out and signed.
  • Helps room patients for procedures.
  • Communicates aftercare follow up instructions to patients.
  • Ensures accuracy in all charting activities.
  • Assisting with ordering and inventory of medical supplies.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by always keeping information confidential in compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all related tasks as needed.
  • Always provides superior customer service excellence.
  • Remains flexible on behalf of the position and the team.
  • Ability to interact both positively and professionally through multiple departments within the practice.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
