About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Anderson, MO, is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Anderson Clinic. The MA will provide patient care in an office setting, addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. This role involves meeting patient and family communication needs, demonstrating initiative and responsibility, and adhering to professional expectations. The Medical Assistant works under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, physician, and clinic manager, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Key duties include communicating patient clinical status, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians and team members.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
  • Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
  • If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care in the office setting.

  • Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards.
  • Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
