About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you support doctors by providing patient care and performing delegated medical tasks. You will also maintain records and administer medication and injections, as well as record vital signs. Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent is a must.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

A good grasp of medical terminology.
A keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Help with examining and treating patients under a physician's guidance.
Prepare exam rooms, clean before and after procedures, disinfect equipment, and restock supplies.
Talk to patients, help them to the exam room and get them ready.
Collect patient medical history and enter information into their file for physician use.
Monitor vital signs like pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
Help patients prepare for medical procedures, tests, and x-rays.
Conduct patient assessments, process electrocardiograms, and collect blood and urine samples during testing.
Accurately document patient details in line with organizational guidelines.
Understand the rules related to patient privacy and confidentiality (especially HIPPA regulations).
Identify and report any signs of physical distress in patients to the healthcare staff.
Enhance patient comfort and ease through approachable and friendly interactions.
Proficiently follow instructions from medical professionals.
Handle medical records.
