About The Position

Salud is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. The role involves providing welcoming care to patients, determining the nature of their visit, obtaining vitals, maintaining thorough and concise chart documentation, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The Medical Assistant acts as the first point of contact for patients before they see a Doctor, NP, or PA, contributing to a positive healing journey in a lively and vibrant clinic atmosphere.

Requirements

Current Medical Assistant Certificate (required to be obtained within 6 months of hire if not already certified).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to work with people from all walks of life and meet them in their place of need.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, is preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide welcoming care to patients.
Determine the nature of the patient’s visit.
Obtain vitals.
Maintain thorough and concise chart documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.
