About The Position
The Patient Care Specialist 2 (PCS2) supports excellent patient care and healthcare-center operations by moving between clinical, administrative, and front-office functions. The role contributes to patient retention, operational efficiency, and a positive patient experience while upholding AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s mission and core values. PCS2s work collaboratively with colleagues and departments and participate in cross-functional rotations to develop capabilities across multiple healthcare-center functions. Clinical work includes medical-assistant duties such as phlebotomy. Administrative and front-office work includes processing patient referrals and identifying and verifying insurance coverage. The PCS2 helps ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality care and a reliable client experience.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Diploma from a completed MA diploma program.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical-assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy.
- Perform administrative and front-office duties.
- Process patient referrals.
- Identify and verify insurance coverage.
- Participate in cross-functional rotations and transition among healthcare-center functions.
- Collaborate with AHF employees and departments to meet patient needs.
