About The Position

This Gap Year Program is designed for driven individuals who have recently graduated and aspire to attend medical, PA, or NP school. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience and immerse oneself in patient care before applying to further education. As a Medical Assistant, you will be central to patient care, working alongside Board Certified Dermatologists to provide essential support. The ideal candidate will possess clinical knowledge, compassion, a strong work ethic, and a desire to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).
Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Responsibilities

Provide the best patient experience - from warmly welcoming patients and prepping them for their visit to thoughtfully answering their care-related questions.
Act as the right hand to the provider, supporting hands-on patient care by assisting during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, fulfilling prescription orders, and ensuring appointments are smooth and complete.
Keep the clinic running smoothly by managing supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding the flow of exam rooms, and finding creative ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
Be a reliable teammate by jumping in to help, keeping things organized, and contributing to a positive, supportive environment.
