About The Position
Coastal Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing Spine & Pain team in Yulee, Florida. Our providers deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care using the latest treatments and technology to help patients manage acute and chronic pain.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office required
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
Nice To Haves
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Spine & Pain, Orthopedics, or specialty practice experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during office visits and procedures
- Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments
- Answer patient questions and provide education as directed by providers
- Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- Work collaboratively with providers and staff to ensure exceptional patient care
