About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves greeting and preparing patients for examinations, assisting healthcare providers with procedures, performing diagnostic tests, managing medications, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and computer skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While bilingual Spanish skills are preferred, they are not required. This position requires travel to SW Fort Worth and Southlake locations.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant diploma
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, patient, and physicians
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
  • Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients and families
  • Good computer skills using a medical management application (EHR)
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Must be reliable/dependable during work hours
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for examination, taking vital signs and medical history
  • Assist physician, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with exams and procedures
  • Perform in-office diagnostic tests, including blood glucose checks and EKGs
  • Administer injections and assist with medication management under provider supervision
  • Handle prescription refills, prior authorizations, and lab result follow-ups
  • Educate patients on diabetes management, thyroid conditions, and medication adherence
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and insurance verification as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
