Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. About This Location: AMG Southeast (2301 E 93rd St, Chicago, IL) is a fast-paced, team-centered primary care practice providing family medicine and internal medicine to patients from newborns through older adults. Our team delivers comprehensive care including routine physicals, women’s health, newborn and well-childcare, same-day sick visits, and chronic disease management. We proudly serve a diverse and often underserved community and partner closely with community resources, Neighborhood Care sites, and our pharmacists to support diabetic education and chronic disease medication maintenance. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish Bilingual is a plus but not a requirement
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
