Medical Assistant – Ambulatory Care Services/Medicine Clinic - Days Provide compassionate, patient focus and superior customer service - keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist Practitioners and Management by performing testing, taking vital signs and accurate histories or patients in practice. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a health care facility
- Excellent judgment
- Communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with all levels of staff
- Basic computer skills required
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP
