About The Position

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. This role involves collaborating with Clinical Services staff to deliver outstanding patient services in a positive and flexible environment that fosters patient comfort and trust. The Medical Assistant will play a vital part in preparing for patient visits, maintaining exam rooms, preparing patients, performing initial medical screenings, assisting during exams, and managing supplies and cleanliness.

Requirements

Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately.
High degree of diplomacy and tact.
Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards.
High school diploma or GED required.
Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant, required.
Current, valid CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages.
Valid State Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and update patient records before appointments.
Ensure all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date.
Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards.
Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready.
Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately.
Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly.
