About The Position
Esse Health is seeking full-time Medical Assistants for office locations in South County and Fenton. They are willing to train CNAs, EMTs, or PCTs with previous healthcare experience. In this role, you will perform back-office functions including assisting in patient examinations and treatments, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and recording information in patient charts or the EMR. This position requires a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all patient and coworker interactions.
Requirements
- CNA, EMT, or PCT with previous healthcare experience
- High School Diploma
- PC/Windows proficiency
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments
Responsibilities
- Perform back office functions
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients
- Interview patients
- Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
- Record information in the patients chart or EMR
- Project a positive office image at all times
- Greet patients with enthusiasm
- Maintain an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers
