Assist physicians with medical procedures in office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. The role involves thorough documentation in medical records, preparing encounter forms for billing, and maintaining inventory of supplies. The Medical Assistant will also initiate troubleshooting procedures for instrument malfunctions and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, rights, safety, billing, and collections. Adherence to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and Disaster Recovery Plan, is expected. Maintaining patient information confidentiality is crucial. Knowledge of the Nucleus medication dispensing system is required, along with overseeing the ordering of medical and pharmaceutical supplies and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Overtime may be required with sufficient notice.
