About The Position

At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full- Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Greenville, NC. This role involves performing administrative and clinical procedures for adults with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring medical conditions. The Medical Assistant will serve as an active member of the treatment team, taking vitals, conducting assessments, scheduling patient appointments, updating medical records, performing injections as needed, coordinating prescription refills, and assisting with services involving external providers.

Requirements

Certification as a Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA. Or, Phlebotomy certification
Maintain a valid state-appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Must possess the necessary abilities to perform tasks such as develop written communication as well as reviewing work to determine accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, and being able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

Experience with the mental health population preferred
