As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. Under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you’ll perform administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
  • Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories accurately.
  • Measure and document vital signs as part of patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during these processes.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinical setting.
