About The Position

Salud is seeking a Temporary, Full-Time Medical Assistant to join their team. The role involves providing welcoming care to patients, determining the nature of their visit, obtaining vital signs, maintaining thorough and concise chart documentation, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patients before they see a Doctor, NP, or PA, and plays a crucial role in the team-based system of care that Salud provides.

Requirements

The ability to work with people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need.
Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire.
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification. A CNA certification is NOT equivalent to a Medical Assistant certification and cannot be accepted for this position.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
