About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing leadership to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and compassionate patient experience. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and quality of care in our ambulatory setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
Perform a variety of clinical tasks to support patient care and provider efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
