About The Position

This role is for a Medical Assistant in Primary Care at Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group Main St. Downtown Pensacola. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with day shifts. The Medical Assistant will manage the patient journey by greeting patients, taking vitals, collecting medical history, and assisting providers during examinations and procedures. They will also provide follow-up by updating patients on test results and discussing health-related questions. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and prepared treatment room, managing administrative workflows such as charting, addressing patient questions, and processing referrals and prior authorizations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
1 year of medical assistant experience.
Medical assistant education and training.
3 years of customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.

Responsibilities
