About The Position

This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical and clerical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience.

Requirements

Current Certification in Medical Assisting.
2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients.
EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.

Responsibilities

Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart, and complete required paperwork as needed.
Prepare injections for clinical provider as directed.
Remove staples and/or casts as directed.
Removal/application of dressing as directed.
Obtaining/sending out cultures.
Assist providers with procedures.
Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance, and contact information.
Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries.
Work closely with clinical team lead to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas.
Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards.
Maintain fax machine, assist users, and retrieve and route incoming faxes.
Audit new patient charts.
Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
