About The Position

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife. The role is based at Adventist Health Tillamook, a healthcare provider serving Tillamook County and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
• Facility-required credential: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT), Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant (MA), American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
• Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a CHDP certificate.
• Phlebotomy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system, including a continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs and report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
• Perform audiometry and vision testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
