Assist physicians with medical procedures in office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role requires thorough documentation in the medical record chart of testing/treatment rendered to patients, preparing encounter forms, and documenting all QC and QA corrective action. The Medical Assistant will also maintain adequate inventory of supplies, place orders, initiate troubleshooting procedures for instrument malfunctions, and perform EKG testing where applicable. The position requires compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, patient’s rights, safety, billing, and collections, as well as adherence to all AON and departmental policies and procedures. Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information is paramount. The role may involve assisting in training new employees and working at any AON location to meet business needs, including occasional overtime.
