About The Position
As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.
Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
- Obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem.
- May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Assist with scheduling patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing.
- Assist with preparing, cleaning and sterilizing instruments and maintain equipment; keep patient exam rooms clean and orderly; dispose of contaminated items according to protocol.
