About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their team. The MA will be responsible for assisting the physician with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. This includes appointment scheduling, care and chart management, and providing information to patients to help them utilize clinic services. The role also involves collecting and processing routine testing, returning results to the doctor, obtaining and processing doctor's orders, and data entry. The MA will provide good customer service via phone and in person, work well under pressure, and perform CLIA waived moderate testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with computers and office equipment, required.
• The ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Must understand medical terminology.
• General Math skills.

Nice To Haves

• CMA course preferred but not required.
• Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
• Responsible for appointment scheduling including care and chart management.
• Provide information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the clinic.
• Collect, process routine testing, and returning results back to doctor.
• Obtain, process doctor’s orders, and data entry.
• Provide good customer service on the phone, to patients, doctors and other medical staff.
• Work well under pressure.
• Perform CLIA waived moderate testing.
