Join Our Team: We are searching for a part-time Medical Assistant for our Gateway Asthma & Allergy office located in O'Fallon, MO! Opportunity: Part-time opening Monday & Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Every other Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Not benefit eligible Outpatient clinical practice

Requirements

The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
CPR Certification.
PC/Windows proficiency.
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Nice To Haves

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Medical coding familiarity.

Responsibilities

Perform back office functions
Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Answer phones
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
