About The Position

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join its field-based wound care team. The Medical Assistant travels to patient homes and care facilities within the Phoenix area to provide hands-on clinical support under the direction of supervising providers. The role requires self-motivation, clinical competence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a full-time, on-the-road position, with a pay rate of $22 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care duties in a field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and accurately document clinical findings.
• Perform chart checks to monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.
• Communicate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support continuity of care.
