This role is responsible for ensuring each patient receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every patient, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product & program knowledge, and all other aspects of customer service. The Medical Assistant will conduct various clinical duties, including urinalysis, EKG, phlebotomy, and body composition, communicating results to the provider. They will also obtain patient vitals, administer IM injections, prepare laboratory order forms, and assist the medical director or mid-level practitioner with patient referrals and medical supply inventory. Documentation of procedures, patient progress notes, and patient-specific data in the patient chart/EMR is crucial. The role involves patient calls for appointment reminders, care, and addressing concerns, as well as utilizing the phone system for incoming calls. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will conduct consultations and initial assessments regarding the Medi-Weightloss™ program(s) and assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the medical environment. Non-essential functions include participating in marketing efforts, assisting with administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling, and updating medical records, maintaining high-level program education to explain benefits, participating in refresher training, referring complex inquiries to management, and adhering to operational guidelines including HIPAA and OSHA.
